My last blog post will just be about interesting/ fun facts
about swimming. For one swimming is ranks number 3 in popular sports activities
in the United States, but yet 65% of American’s do not know how to swim.
Something new I just learned as well about what swimming can do to your body is
that it will help make you taller and leaner because of the muscles you use in
the sport by resistance training and cardio which helps build a better
metabolism it also puts your body through a range of movements helping you to
stay flexible.
When you’re doing any type of
work out and are working hard you tend to sweat and in swimming even though you
can’t see it or feel it you are sweating in the water.
Swimming has been an Olympic sport since 1896 but women were
not able to participate until 1912. People often wonder why swimmers wear swim
caps and that is because hair creates friction against the water and will slow
you down and that is also why men shave their head for big swim meets to help
them go faster through the water. I hope you enjoyed learning a little more
