What i have learned

What I have learned through making this blog is that there are many different things you could make your blog on besides of what just relates you and what you just know, I have learned this by looking at other people’s blogs and reading what they post how they executed their blogs. Blogs are important because they can give you advice and ideas and information from people just like us living normal lives just like us that we can relate to more vs someone that is famous and does it as a job. My favorite blog I read from was the one about unpopular opinion’s because I find that those are interesting to read to see other people’s opinions on popular or trending things.

Facts

For one swimming is ranks number 3 in popular sports activities in the United States, but yet 65% of American’s do not know how to swim. Something new I just learned as well about what swimming can do to your body is that it will help make you taller and leaner because of the muscles you use in the sport by resistance training and cardio which helps build a better metabolism it also puts your body through a range of movements helping you to stay flexible.

When you’re doing any type of work out and are working hard you tend to sweat and in swimming even though you can’t see it or feel it you are sweating in the water.

Image result for swimmingSwimming has been an Olympic sport since 1896 but women were not able to participate until 1912. People often wonder why swimmers wear swim caps and that is because hair creates friction against the water and will slow you down and that is also why men shave their head for big swim meets to help them go faster through the water. I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about swimming!

About the sport

Swimming has been studied to find that it is the most healthiest sport you can do because of the great things it does for your body. Like for example it helps stable the metabolism and balances blood pressure and just helps improve general fitness along with many others. Some things people don't realize about the sport is how time consuming it is, for competitive swimming you are expected to practice 5 or 6 day out of the week! But also getting in dry-land practices in by doing things on land like weight lifting and other core and endurance work. Micheal Phelps didn't get that good by practicing twice a week did he? Swimming can also be seen as more of a individual sport because you swim your events on your own and you get your own individual times, unlike in most sports you have to work together to win like in volleyball and basketball. Swimming is almost like track you run and get a time and then you place and get points for your team. Its just like that for swimming. So your swimming for your own individual times and so you can place high to get points for your team to win the meet! If you ever had the idea to go out for swimming you really should its a great way to meet new people and try something new.
This is me and my friend Ceclie at districts! We are wearing a special suit that is called a fast skin and is supposed to help with your speed and make you go faster which sounds weird because it is only a swim suit but the material in the suit help you go across the water faster and smoothly. You see a lot of the big time swimmers wearing these quite often.
